Name- Rynmerith Hale
Nick names- Ryn
Age- 142
Gender- Male
Race- Golden Dragon
Ship- The Auster
Position- First Mate
Bounty- 1.2 Million [murder in the first degree, murder in the second degree, manslaughter, serial killing, dragon crimes, theft, rape, attempt rape, assault, piracy]
Appearance- Ever wonder about just what the deal is with people's love for blonds? Well, at least I can definitely see the attraction in Ryn's case, the young man being either blessed or cursed with the natural hair color from his mother. The blond's messy hair is styled in a pulled back, silky 'duck tail', stray strands of hair falling around his face to join his bangs or lying feathered at the back of his neck. With a lightly tanned complexion the pirate’s well defined features and golden hair are accentuated graciously by the effects of the sun's rays. Ryn's somewhat mature face shape and dark hazel eyes can give him an either pretty boy or sexy look, depending entirely on his expression. And his are expressions that rely heavily on his eyes. His sharp narrowed eyes are what gives Ryn his stern look, while ranging from harsh glares to clear notes of his unmasked anger, Ryn's eyes almost always manage to reflect his absolute will from the darkened depths.
A grand master of the arrogant smirk that says he's better than you, the first mate clearly shows his position without words, body language and expression alone letting everyone know just who they're dealing with. With a somewhat slim body build and being a bit short for a guy -only about 5'9"-, Ryn's body language and facial expressions have a lot to do to support his cocky, no fear attitude along with his heightened status as a deadly pirate.
On his right ring finger Ryn wears a silver band ring, a quarter of a inch thick with a thinner band of gold around the middle. The engraved design set in black finishing on the ring is that of a crescent moon. Another gold band rests on his index finger.
Identifiable marks/scars- Ryn doesn’t often talk about the incident that brought him to this ship, but part of it is there for everyone to see. His left arm, amputated above the elbow, is now covered in a mechanical arm, created by Lith to give him full use of the arm he lost. Dark grey, and as smooth as stone, it extends from his shoulder to his fingertips. Slightly plated, the decorations a faint red, it gives of a more organic feel than it should, mainly because of its magical creation. Silent, there is little change in its use from his real arm. His fingers flex, and is in fact enhanced his strength, a grip that no one could break easily. Even though it looks hard and unyielding, the palm can touch with slight warmth, a sign of the power used to operate it. It stays on constantly, and only Ryn and Lith know how to remove it.
Clothing- Details in picture (coming soon)
Personality- Cocky, no regret, no fear. Or so one would think. It cannot be stressed enough that the look in Ryn's eyes screams predator, and unfortunately few people can really do anything to stop him considering his status as First Mate. Ryn is viewed as a morbid kind of person, and a bit of a sadist, finding and odd and twisted sort of pleasure in the pain of others, and he isn't fazed by alot of things that would have a sane person cringing. Even as cutthroat pirates go Ryn’s sanity dips a little farther into the realms of sadism than most. Though Ryn's demeanor is calm and his attitude mature, he still has alot to learn about how to treat other people, seeing as he almost likes to see bad things happen. His more neurotic tendencies seem to be kept generally to himself, and aside from the rare public outburst brought on by emotional highs that lows that plague Ryn's daily life, his less public face is kept just that; out of the public's eye and mostly to himself.
The main problem in Ryn's psyche is his complete obsession with control. Being in control over his life, and every person and situation in it. Ryn is very defensive of the dominion he is given and is afraid of any of it slipping away from him, demanding service but lacking in the ability to give it. One of his better traits is his determination, knowing exactly what he wants and using all his energies, creativeness and resolution to get it, as well as being certain that he will get whatever it is he is after.
After a while of once holding a position of high authority, Ryn eventually began to say what he wanted, whenever he wanted too, giving him a very cocky, opinionated attitude that would often offend. Though he often seems laid back and content just sit back and watch events unfold and let people fend for themselves, when confronted, Ryn will have an extremely defensive take on a situation. This makes him a very frustrating person to be with in a sticky situation.
Though often sounding proper and sophisticated in the manner in which he speaks, Ryn is more often than not simply talking down to people. The manner in which he holds himself and speaks in one of self dignity and pride, having slowly developed this sense over a long period of time despite most people's inability to picture Ryn as not being so certain of himself. Still, sometimes like all people, Ryn still feels like a shaken little boy, unsure of what he's really doing.
History- Ryns brief childhood was happy. There was never a father in his life, but his mother loved him, and every memory he has of her is warm. But he grew up in a tough time, and raised in a port town in the Spine, it was easier for him to experience the tragedy he did. The men who stole him were humans, proving a point and gathering dragon children. Brought away from him home, young and afraid, Rynmerith was forced into slavery before he was much older than 6.
He was made to be an example, a victim to demonstrate the hatred of dragons in the rich, prejudice houses of some. They beat him, to the point that he would blank out, or do worse, simply to entertain a few. Years past like this, as he grew, he knew nothing but hatred and pain, boiling up inside of him till there was nothing more than the desire to kill everyone who had ever done this to him. It didn’t take long for it to get too much. Ryn was a teenager, young, and not that strong. But he fought with everything he had, running, and taking out as many people as he could. Yet untrained as he was, he couldn’t get far, and he paid the price for his attempt. They cut off his arm, and ripped off a wing, as well as shredding the other. Even his tail was shortened, leaving him lying in an alleyway to die.
And he would have met his end there, if it were not for good timing. Lith Genki, Captain of the Auster, found him there. If there was one thing the pirate captain had in him, it was compassion for his fellow dragons, and hatred for those that hated them. So he saved him. Brought him to his ship, gave him an arm, and raised him. He extends his knowledge, his position, and gave Ryn the opportunity to become the First Mate of the Auster. It was a change from his entire life, and Rynmerith’s natural confidence came through. He began a first mate to fear, almost as cruel as his captain. And ambitious as well. With each year, Ryn looks upon his captain for more ways to take power.
Weapons- Ryn fights with three main weapons. His sword, a Chinese Jian, is his most comfortable weapon of choice. He also carries daggers, a favorite when intimidating others, as well as a solid black revolver.
