There is a variety of races that exist within the World. From the common place Humans, to dragons, elves, Kaltan, and anything else that can be imagined.
Players are allowed to be creative and include their own races, and for those that want to allow other people to join their race, they can post a specific description of their race here.
The race restrictions- Angels, Demons, or Gods. The only exceptions are if a player can prove that they would be responsible with that kind of character.
There will be no genderless characters allowed. Please, specify your gender in your character description. They can be a man that dresses like a woman, but there still must be male genitalia.
Note- if there are all ready multiple types of elves, dragons, or something similar, there is no need to increase the variety. You can go with your idea, but you don't need to make it accessible to anyone else.

The Desert Elves of Uraeus
The Desert Elves fall in a space between the classical Tolkien Elves and Drows. Because they take their residence in the south West, mainly in the tribes on Uraeus, their skin is tanned to a dark gold, and their bodies are hardened and less graceful. Other than their skin however, there is little that separates them physically from a normal elf. Long ears, tall stature, and a variety in hair color and eyes are some of their more noticeable features.
However, they are far from a peaceful race. Aggressive toward their enemies and extremely proud, they exist in a Spartan civilization, where everyone takes part in the army of their nation. Trained in some skills, and pushed to very extreme limits, there is little room for deviation of the culture and their believes. Second to their national pride, is their family honour, which could lead to exile for those who do not meet the expected standards.
Their people can be trained as archers, mages, swordsmen, or for those of weaker disposition, they can claim a less glorious career as a healer.

The Drow of Stygia
Drow closely resemble surface elves in terms of physical build. Some appear wiry, muscled like a gymnast, and others are truly slender, sometimes to the point of gauntness. The boast the same pointed ears and almond shaped eyes of other elves though their features are more refined and attractive than those of their surface cousins. Additionally, the drow's constant pursuit of physical perfection has bred a lot of flaws - but also a lot of variety - out of the race
The drow of Stygia have black skin, not the dark hue common among humans, but true black, the color of onyx or pure darkness. Skin tone varies only slightly from individual to individual, perhaps appearing a shade lighter on one, or faintly violet-tinged on another when viewed in extremely bright light; in any case these distinctions are both rare and subtle. The drow show a little more variety in their hair color. Stark white is the most common by far, but other pale shades such as light grey, silver, platinum blond, and even the occasional golden blond exist as well. Some male drow (roughly one in ten) are capable of growing facial hair, and often wear elaborate mustaches and/or goatees. Most drow wear their hair long, though many soldiers choose to crop it - or, in rare cases, to shave bald - to avoid giving an easy handhold for enemies.
Eye color varies about as much as hair: Red, white, purple, green, and gold all appear equally. Red being slightly more common.
Adult drow range from 5-1/2 to 6-1/2 feet tall and weigh between 95 and 140 pounds. Females are usually slightly taller and weigh slightly more than males, though the differences are minuscule enough, on average, to be hardly noticeable.
Clothing: Although the drow live in the earth of their island, they tend to wear dark furs, and heavy leathers to stay warm. Hunters often wear leather that's been sitting over a fire when on the surface. They tend towards black as a predominant color, though greens, browns, reds, and gold also make an appearance.

The Elementals
There is no specifics when it comes to the elementals. An elemental is a person, in its physical manifestation, that is born with an extremely high affinity to a certain element. It can go undetected for a while, if it is a more peaceful element, while those that have more chaotic tendancies often manifest their powers in unexpected attacks as children.
Elementals can come from any race, and have any element as their own, though they are only ever bonded to one. That is to say that their can be a dragon born that is an elemental of wind, or a human that is an earth elemental, and can only have powers in their respective element.
For elementals, there is a decrease in their aging process, and have the ability, though hardly anyone does, to take on a full form of their elemental status. Aka, think Human Torch from the Fantastic 4 for a fire elemental. This status however is hard to maintain and drains them physically, or, worse, if they exert themselves too much, they may not be able to return to their human form, and slowly degenerate into a more elemental state.
Elementals and Ships-
The fastest ships are those that have a captain that has made a bond with an elemental spirit. There are those that are powered by a very clockwork style of invention, but, when a captain bonds with an elemental, they have a magical property that exceeds human might.
The bond made between an elemental and a captain has only one specific. In exchange for the elemental using their power to give flight to the ship, the Captain must give up a part of himself to the elemental as a signing of the contract. This can be anything from their hair, to an entire arm. It all depends on the nature of the elemental, for a more evil one may ask for something that you would not want to give up.
The bond between an elemental and a captain protects the captain as well as the ship. Both will then strive to protect the other, to uphold their bond, even taking sacrifices for each other. But, in a rare case, an elemental may not bond with a captain, giving that person the ability to leave and found their own ship. The reasons that an elemental may choose a captain varies, from love to a certain interest in what that person wants.

The Kaltans of Araceli
The Kaltans are three major clans that originated in Areceli. To other races, they are known as the animal people. The three clans are the Shonwic ( cat clans), Caltens (fox clans) and the Ryodwin (Wolf clans). The people of the Kaltan races are known for their ears and tails, along with their unique abilities to use elemental based magic and great swordsmanship. Each clan has different breeds of their species.. for example, the Shonwic have many breeds of cats ( tiger, lion, small house cats) depending on family history. There are also many smaller species in the Kaltan races including mice, rabbits, cows and other mammals. There are also Reptiles but they are rarely heard of.

The Dragons
Dragons are the most animistic creatures that exist upon this world. Though most of them now remain in a mostly human shape, they are bound to the same instincts that they have had since birth. Intelligent, and with a deep understanding of the world that comes with the age that most of them have, it seems to be double edged with the birdlike qualities that they have.
All dragons go through a mating season, that peaks every few years. They can breed at all times, but sexual urges wane with immortality, and this is a time where almost all dragons are drawn to mate, creating the newer generations. They are drawn to bright colours, most noticeably finding themselves attracted to people that stand out with bright hair or clothing.
Intuitively gift with magic, simple spells and magic are a part of their lifestyle, in their body as well as in their culture. Within the spine, most dragons still retain their human figure, as much of the younger generation has simply come to view that as their form, almost an evolutionary feature to keep them safe from the problems of the outside world.

Located between Sheppard’s Rock and Ira, is a small archipelago inhabited by Humans within The Spine. The Dragons, even with their enhanced lifespan and brains, can barely recall when these humans settled there… It said they came as any other humans would, though Sheangarn Ford. The Dragons must have sensed the intentions of this particular tribe. They were nomadic back then, following the migratory route of their chosen prey. But the birds ventured into The Spine! The humans followed knowing that their way of life would be lost without these birds. They did not care to harm the dragons, nor did they find themselves jealous of their god-given gifts. Following these birds helped the tribe navigate The Spine, and most Dragons let them be. They settled near the entrance of The Spine at first, but this drew the attention of too many humans. When the genocide began so many years ago, some caring Dragons took their precious humans deeper into The Spine. Farther and farther back they traveled, sailing across the air following any Dragons that cared to offer them homage. The humans obeyed the Dragons, and eventually came to revere them as Gods. The Dragons, knowing how important those migratory birds were, slowly lead them to their nest between Sheppard’s Rock and Ira. The humans were astonished, thinking this must be paradise. And so it was to them, they named the birds “Birds of Paradise”. They called the archipelago “Utopia”. These Birds of Paradise did not move from place to place, it seemed that the others birds were trapped outside because of Balance Valley so they moved about back and forth throughout the land looking for their home. These Humans permanently settled on this Island, and they greatly respected the birds and the Dragons. Aqueous was the main nesting site in Utopia. No hunting was allowed on this island, to prevent the population from ever going extinct. It was as island containing a very large lake, albeit that’s practically all it was: a floating lake; crystals protruded from it, and water forever fell from its edges, but the lake never went dry. The cliff on the other side of the lake, and the stalagmites rising up from the middle of the water, was where the Birds of Paradise nested most. Large temples and shrines were erected by the humans in thanks to the Dragons. The Dragons taught them how to preserve the land, the taught them the middle way.. The way of the Gods, the Dragons called it. It was an Enlightened path of moderation away from the extremes of sensual indulgence and self-mortification and toward the practice of wisdom, morality and mental cultivation. They practice the Way of the Gods, to this day. But that all was just a legend, it may or may not be true. Only a few know, and why would they tell you?
