The archipelago of Uraeus, split up in to so many smaller islands, long ago designed a system in which to govern it’s people. Now, on the main island of Narean, the senate gathers once every month to discuss the affairs of the region. Those chosen to sit in power have to meet the three specifications; male, a corporate owner, and a landholder within Uraeus. Though this has narrowed down the candidates, those who do have the chance to speak have gained the right to choose for all else, despite their claim of representing a fair and equal system. Times have changed since the aesthetic beauty of Uraeus has mirrored the moral goodness of it’s leaders and the system it was built upon. Rumours have it that a few of the senate members themselves were once pirates who could buy their way to power in their retirement.
